Huzzah is a home for Americans reaching back to their patriot lineage and stepping forward into civic life. It takes its name from the cheer that carried through the Revolution. It is built for the people who intend to keep what that generation handed forward, with or without a documented ancestor.
Members find each other by name, by state, and by chapter. SAR chapter records are drawn from public sources and kept current. A lineage is easier to carry when you know who else is carrying one.
The founding record, read in full. Primary sources, the people who wrote them, and entries that arrive on the anniversary of the day they describe. History is not a subject here. It is a standing appointment.
Inheritance is worth little if it stops at the reading. Find your representatives, follow the bills that reach your county, and take the next seat at the next meeting. The republic is local before it is anything else.
The chain is in your hands.
