Give

Value for value. If the library is worth something to you, return what it is worth, in whatever form you have.

The documents here belong to everyone. They were written by people who expected to be read by their descendants, and we are the descendants. What it costs to keep them online is real but small. What it costs to get them right is the work.

Time

Tell us when we are wrong

A headnote that overstates its document. A date that is off by a year. A source note that calls a later reconstruction a transcript. These are the errors that matter, because a library that is wrong about what a document is has no reason to exist.

If you find one, say so. Every document page names its source so you can check us against it. That is the point of naming it.

Talent

Bring a document, or check one

Transcription from a photographed original. Provenance checking on something already here. A document you have access to that belongs in a founding library, brought with its provenance stated: where the text comes from, what was done to it, and what it actually is.

A transcription nobody can check is worth less than no transcription. Bring the source with the text.

Treasure

Give what it is worth to you

No suggested amount is the right one. You know what you got out of it and we do not.

Card giving is not switched on yet. Nothing here charges anything. When it opens, Stripe handles the card and we never see the number.

Three things this page owes you

The library is free. Not free for now, and not free until it grows. The documents are public and they stay public, whether anyone gives anything or not. If that ever changes, it will change on this page first, with the reason stated.

Giving buys nothing. No tier, no badge, no early access, no feature, no change to any account. A donation that quietly hands you something is a subscription wearing a different hat, and we are not going to do that. If you want the member side, it has a price and its own page.

This is not tax deductible. Huzzah is published by Indian Lakes Marketing LLC. It is a business, not a charity. You are supporting work you value, and you get no receipt worth anything to a tax preparer.

The member directory, profiles and ancestor records are a separate thing with a price on it, on the membership page.
